VMCOLOUR.APP Colour scheme editor for ViewMAX/2 John Elliott, 27-12-2002
==============================================================================

  VMCOLOUR.APP allows you to edit the colour schemes offered by ViewMAX/2.

New in version 1.01
===================

  VMCOLOUR would delete ViewMAX.INI if the DRDOSCFG variable was not set. This
has now been fixed.

Installation
============

  Copy VMCOLOUR.APP and VMCOLOUR.RSC to your \DRDOS directory (or elsewhere,
if you have ViewMAX installed elsewhere).

In use
======

  Type:  VIEWMAX VMCOLOUR.APP

  In a short while, a dialog box should appear. It contains a number of drop-
down lists.

Colour scheme: Click the button to select which ViewMAX scheme to define.
              ViewMAX allows up to 10 sets of colours, though the supplied
              .INI file does not define all 10. You can rename a scheme by
              typing the new name into this box.

The panel below contains: On the left-hand side, a list of screen elements,
              and a preview area showing how the current colour will look.
              Click the button on the drop-down list to select a screen
              element.
                On the right-hand side of the panel are four drop-down
              controls that are used to define the current colour/shade
              combination. These controls are foreground colour, background
              colour, fill style (hollow, solid, shaded or hatched) and fill
              index (one of 24 shades or 12 hatches).

  The three buttons at the bottom of the screen are:

OK Saves the settings to ViewMAX.INI and then exits. The currently
         selected colour set will become the one used by ViewMAX.
Cancel   Exits without saving.
Apply Makes ViewMAX use the current colour set. Does not save the settings
         or exit.

Notes
=====

  VMCOLOUR will also run under ViewMAX/1 and GEM, but you will get some
"Invalid function" warnings when it tries to change the colour scheme. Plus,
it won't look anything like as good.
