Installation README

This package installs an updated Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 2000, 
and XP device driver for the data fax modem that comes 
preinstalled in your IBM(R) computer. This update requires 
approximately 17MB of space on your hard disk (drive C).

This package is intended for IBM NetVista, and ThinkCentre 
systems shipped with an IBM V.90 Data/Fax Soft Modem.

Print this file so that you can refer to it during the 
installation.


Downloading the update
----------------------
1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save
   the downloaded file.


Extracting the update
---------------------
1.  Click Start, select Find or Search, then click Files and 
    folders.
2.  Type 961z15us.exe in the search field, then click Find Now.
    This will locate the 961z15us.exe file you just downloaded. 
3.  Double-click the 961z15us.exe icon.
4.  Click Next. Read the license agreement.
5.  Click I accept the terms in the license agreement. 
6.  Click Next. Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set 
    to C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\961Z15US.
7.  Click Next.
8.  Click Finish.


Installing the update in Windows 2000 or XP
-------------------------------------------
1. Click Start, click Run.
2. Type C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\961Z15US\Win2kXP\HXFSetup.exe.
3. Click Ok.
4. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the installation. 
   Shutdown and restart your system when the installation is 
   complete.
