              1.1  This README file contains the latest information about using 
                   the IBM eserver xSeries 200/Intellistation E Pro DMI Update Utility diskette.

       3.0   Instructions

              The procedure to update the system DMI information is as follows:

              3.1  Insert the "IBM eserver xSeries 200/Intellistation E Pro DMI Update 
                   Utility Diskette" into drive A.

              3.2  Start up or restart your IBM system.

              3.3  The system will boot off of the diskette.

              3.4  Change server/nonserver value.
                    For eserver xSeries 200, use 3.4.A.
                    For Intellistation E Pro, use 3.4.B.
                    
                    3.4.A  Type "extrmdmi server" at the DOS prompt and press ENTER.
                            
                    3.4.B  Type "extrmdmi nonserver" at the DOS prompt and press ENTER.
                    
              3.5  Change Machine Type/Model Number.
                    Type "extrmdmi mtm XXXXYYY-" and press ENTER,
                           where XXXX is the model type, YYY is the model number.
                    
              3.6  Change Serial Number.
                    Type "extrmdmi sn ZZZZZZZ" and press ENTER, where
                    ZZZZZZZ is the serial number.
                     
              3.7  Change UUID.
                    Type "extrmdmi uuid U0U1U2U3U4U5U6U7U8U9UAUBUCUDUEUF"
                    and press ENTER, where U0-UF are the 1st through 16th bytes (in hex)
                    in the UUID.
             
              3.8  Reboot the system.
