This peFix is not for use with other versions of the product and may cause serious functionality problems or data loss if misused. Do not install this peFix on versions or configurations other than those listed in this readme. 2.1 Supported Hardware Configurations DirAgentServer-pf2-4.22 applies to any hardware running IBM Director Agent or Server version 4.22. 2.2 Supported Operating Systems Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS, Version 2.1 (Update 3) Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS, Version 3.0 (Update 3) Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES, Version 2.1 and 3.0 SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 8 for x86 (Service Pack 3) SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 for x86 2.3 Supported Software Configurations IBM Director 4.22 2.4 Dependencies IBM Director 4.22 Server IBM Director 4.22 Agent 2.5 Limitations Root privileges are required for the account used to install the peFix. This peFix must be uninstalled prior to upgrading to later versions of IBM Director. The DirAgentServer-pf2-4.22.rpm package cannot be used to patch an IBM Director Server using IBM Director software distribution. 3.0 Installation __________________________________________________________________ peFixes use the RPM mechanism to deploy required updates. These RPMs must be installed using the install option and will modify the existing IBM Director installation. After installation or uninstallation of this peFix, the pegasus CIMOM server must be restarted. This can be done using the '/etc/DirAgent/stopcim' command followed by the '/etc/DirAgent/startcim' command. After installation or uninstallation of this peFix on a server running IBM Director Server, the Director service must be restarted. This can be done using the '/opt/IBM/director/bin/twgstart' command. 3.1 Install Command Line Syntax rpm -ihv DirAgentServer-pf2-4.22.rpm 3.2 RPM List DirAgentServer-pf2-4.22.rpm 3.3 XML Installation This patch can be installed by using the provided XML file with IBM Director Update Assistant. When you import this XML file into IBM Director, the IBM Director Update Assistant creates a software package.
