       1.0   Overview:  This firmware update enables WOL support for onboard Broadcom BCM5700 ethernet
             at 100Mb.

             1.1   Vieep214 Overview

                   - Vieep214.exe is a self-extracting executable that creates a bootable DOS diskette
                     that can be used to update the boot firmware for the onboard Broadcom BCM5700 ethernet.

             1.2   Limitations
                   - None.

             1.3   Enhancements
                   - Default ethernet operation at 100Mb.

             1.4   Recommendations and Prerequisites for this Update:

                   - IBM strongly recommends this update to customers
                     utilizing RDM or OS other than Microsoft.

                   - This update is not required if system will run a
                     Microsoft Windows product & associated device drivers,
                     exclusively.

       3.0   Installation and Setup Instructions
       -----------------------------------------

             3.1   Step by step instructions for this code update

		   1. Download vieep214.exe to a temporary location. Ex. c:\temp

		   2. Insert blank diskette in drive A:

		   3. Execute vieep214.exe from the temporary location.

		   4. Press enter to continue with creation of bootable update diskette.

		   4. When operation is complete, keep diskette in drive, and reboot system.

		   5. System will boot to diskette, perform update, then display dos prompt.

		   6. Remove diskette from drive, and reboot system.

             
       4.0   Configuration Information
       -------------------------------

             4.1   This update does not require configuration installation

             4.2   This upadte does not require configuration Settings


       5.0   Unattended Mode
       -------------------------------
             Note:  Include switch and response file documentation.   All
             updates should be capable to be run in an "unattended" mode.

             5.1   Steps for unattended mode.
                   - Firmware update can be installed "unattended" from system boot.
                   - Firmware update can be installed "unattended" from DOS prompt with
                     the following command;
                     a:\autoexec.bat
