Installation README


This is a software update for IBM RecordNow Version 3.X  It provides
compatibility with the IBM 48x CD-RW drive.

It is strongly recommended that users update to RecordNow version 4 
or higher rather than using this PX.INI update.  RecordNow updates 
can be obtained from the Support section of http://www.ibm.com.

This package applies to IntelliStation E Pro(6204,6214,6216,6226)
IntelliStation M Pro(6219,6229)
IntelliStation Z Pro(6221)
and NetVista 2254, 2256, 2257, 2273, 2292, 6043, 6336, 6337, 6339, 
6341, 6342, 6343, 6346, 6347, 6348, 6349, 6350, 6790, 6791, 6792, 
6793, 6794, 6795, 6823, 6825, 8181, 8182, 8301, 8303, 8304, 8305,
8306, 8307, 8308, 8309, 8310, 8311, 8312, 8313, 8314, and 8315
systems.

Print this file so that you can refer to it during the installation.


Downloading the update
----------------------
1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save
   the downloaded file.


Installing the update
---------------------

For Windows 95, 98, 98SE, Me, and NT 4.0 -

1. Click Start, select Find, then click Files or Folders.
2. Type b91z32us.exe in the search field, then click Find Now.
   This will locate the b91z32us.exe file you just downloaded.
3. Double-click the b91z32us.exe icon.
4. Click Next. Read the license agreement.
5. Click I accept the terms in the license agreement.
6. Click Next.
7. Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to
   C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\B91Z32US.
8. Click Next. 
9. The setup program will copy the updated PX.INI file to the %windir%\
   SYSTEM32 directory. Reboot when done.


For Windows 2000 -

1.  Click Start, select Search, then click For Files or Folders.
2.  Type b91z32us.exe in the search field, then click Search Now.
    This will locate the b91z32us.exe file you just downloaded. 
3.  Double-click the b91z32us.exe icon. 
4.  Click Next. Read the license agreement.
5.  Click I accept the terms in the license agreement.
6.  Click Next.
7.  Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to
    C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\B91Z32US.
8.  Click Next.
9.  The setup program will copy the updated PX.INI file to the %windir%\
    SYSTEM32 directory. Reboot when done.


For Windows XP -

1.  Click Start, click Search, then click All files and folders.
2.  Type b91z32us.exe in the "All or part of the file name " 
    search field, then click Search.
    This will locate the b91z32us.exe file you just downloaded.
3.  Double-click the icon for b91z32us.exe.
4.  Click Next. Read the license agreement.
5.  Click I accept the terms in the license agreement.
6.  Click Next.
7.  Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to
    C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\B91Z32US.
8.  Click Next.
9.  The setup program will copy the updated PX.INI file to the %windir%\
    SYSTEM32 directory. Reboot when done.



Updates in this release
-----------------------
- The only file changed by this update is the PX.INI 
  for Lite-on and HLDS 48x CD-RW drives in the System32
  directory of the Windows system root directory.
