LAS VEGAS, April 2, 1996.  A highlight of this year's Networld+Interop

show is a versatile product which performs a variety of network

administrative and maintenance roles, from Help Desk / LAN Server

support to software distribution to end user training.  Remote Services

Management, formerly known as PolyPM/2, is an innovative approach to

the remote access and management of LAN workstations.  It can be seen

at IBM's booth #3563, blue section.



The product's current release is the latest in a series that has

attracted over a quarter-million OS/2, Windows, and DOS users around

the world.  According to ISS-USA vice-president Tim Guptill, "RSM's

phenomenal success is due to some very creative programming and a

versatile architecture.  Today we are the network maintenance and

management tool of choice for customers in hundreds of industries such

as insurance, banking, and manufacturing."



In order to accommodate its broad range of customers, Remote Services

Management - PolyPM/2 supports Client workstations running OS/2,

Windows and DOS as well as Manager and Gateway workstations.  The

Manager may run on IBM's new OS/2 Warp Server, exploiting its power,

function and scalability.  Three product versions are available:

Professional, Advanced and Lite.  A variety of LAN and WAN

communication protocols are supported, from serial cables and asynch

modems to PSTN, NetBIOS, IPX-SPX, TCP/IP, X25, ISDN and APPC-APPN.
