1. General Notes
================
  IMPORTANT!
  You must IMPERATIVELY read this README file and all the documentation
  supplied BEFORE you continue the installation!
  Otherwise the company cannot accept any responsibility for claims that
  may be caused as a consequence.

  Please be aware that you can only take full advantage of the
  features provided by the Stealth 3D 2000, if the other components of
  your system, especially the graphic monitor that is being used,
  also comply with the specifications of the Stealth 3D 2000.
  (Example : The resolution 1280x1024 that is supported by the
  Stealth 3D 2000 can obviously not be used with a monitor that is
  specified to only support resolutions up to 1024x768).

2. Installation
===============
  The program calls stated below refer to the installation from the
  installation disks and the SuperCD ('SuperCD').
  If you have only floppies in the box, the software at the floppies
  will be newer as the current CD.

 2.1 Installation under Windows / Windows 95
===========================================
  Note: The install program detects your operatin system and installs
  the correct drivers.

  Select the menu items 'File' and then 'Run' in the Windows Program
  Manager. Then enter:

  a) (Disk)                  b) (SuperCD)
     A:\SETUP                   <CD drive>:START

  Windows 95 and problems while playing Video-CD or CDI
  -----------------------------------------------------
  Our MPEG playback MCI driver uses the WIN95 driver for the CD-ROM
  drive. If Win95 doesn't support your CDROM controller not rigth (if
  you use a CDROM drive at a IDE port, you are using the Win95 controller
  driver for the IDE controller), there are 2 workarounds:
  - Using the DOS-realmode driver
  Install the CDROM driver in the Config.sys and
  \WINDOWS\COMMAND\MSCDEX.EXE in autoexec.bat. Additional it could be
  possible to disable the 32 bit mode for the drives.
  - Using an other IDE controller
  Use an other, secondary, IDE controller (normally address 170, IRQ 15
  or 10), supported by Win95. If you use your CD-ROM at this port, the
  problem should be solved.
  (Only possible if your motherboard uses only one IDE controller,
  normally address 1F0, IRQ 14).
  You can use a second IDE port at newer soundboards with IDE port (no
  soundboards with CD-ROM CDROM interfaces for special xxx-drives) or a
  simple ISA IDE controller.

2.2 Installation under OS/2 Warp
================================
  A driver for OS/2 is currently not available. As soon as this is
  rectified, the driver will be placed at your disposal via our BBS,
  CompuServe or Internet.

2.3 Installing the Windows NT 3.51 Driver
=========================================
  Please read README.txt in the path:
      <CD-drive>:\INSTALL\GRAPHIC\STEALTH\3D2000\NT

3.  Choosing a Monitor
======================
  As mentioned above, the graphics monitor you choose to use with
  your board should be technically suitable for use with your
  Stealth 3D 2000 board in order to be able fully utilize this.

                 *** IMPORTANT ***

  Only use settings that your monitor supports. If you use the monitor
  outside the specified ratings then it may suffer permanent damage!
  If you change the monitor then you must compare the ratings first
  and should reconfigure accordingly!

4. Restrictions
===============
  Driver for AutoCAD, Microstation 3DStudio are not yet available.
  If they are available, you can get them from our online Services.
  The MPEG Module MVP1100 and the TV Add on board DTV1100 will be
  supported in Q3.

5. Support / Service / Latest Software
======================================
  Please note the SuperCD for most current information about all
  our support services. To get this information please call the
  program "START" and select the menu item "Information".
