NOTE: To determine the ROM revision and ROM date, press F10 on the target notebook during startup to run the Setup Utility, and then view File/System Information. To determine the video controller type, see the second screen of the System Information. |

HOW TO USE: |
1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive. NOTE: This SoftPaq enables the creation of a bootable diskette, CD, or USB key. Be sure to have the selected media available before beginning Step 2. 2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. When prompted, insert the appropriate media into the notebook (or attach to the notebook) and follow the on-screen instructions to create the bootable media. NOTE: After the selected bootable media has been created, the SoftPaq .EXE file downloaded in Step 2 can be deleted, if desired. 3. Power Off the notebook. IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE COMPUTER WHILE PERFORMING THE PROCEDURE IN STEP 4! 4. Make sure the newly created bootable media is still attached or in the appropriate drive, and Power On the notebook. Follow the on-screen instructions to upgrade the System BIOS.
