DESCRIPTION: |
This package contains Intel PRoset for the listed systems, adapters, and operating systems. Intel PROSet is a wireless LAN (WLAN) application that replaces the default Microsoft Windows XP Windows Zero Configuration service. Once Intel PROSet is installed, it must be used to configure the Intel wireless devices and to manage the wireless network connections. Intel PROSet is required for users with the listed Intel adapters in order to connect to wireless networks that use Cisco Compatible Extensions. Users may also find Intel PROSet useful for advanced profile management, single-sign-on support, and advanced diagnostics. Most home and small office/home office (SOHO) users do not need this functionality. If Microsoft Windows XP Windows Zero Configuration service is required again, uninstall Intel PROSet. |

FIXES: |
- Fixes issue where PROSet does not allow the system to enter Suspend or Hibernation modes because PROSet pop-up boxes, which alert the user that wireless networks are in range even when the wireless-LAN is not connected, reset the timer for Suspend or Hibernation modes. - Fixes loss of configurable user settings that occurs when upgrading from a PROSet 10.x version to a later PROSet 10.x version. - Fixes single-sign-on issue where user cannot log on and system must be rebooted if user fails to enter data for two minutes (or longer) at the Pre-Logon Connect prompt. - Fixes the PROSet network list so that it displays only 802.11a networks when the wireless mode is set to 802.11a only. - Fixes issue where CCKM user interface is not allowed under EAP-FAST with TLS option. |
