PREREQUISITES: For the v1 products, CP002265.exe must have been installed prior to installing SP25738.  CP002265.exe 
is the SFU 2.3 and SAK update.  To verify that the v1 machine has SFU 2.3 installed, navigate to Control Panel, 
Add/Remove Programs.  Look for a QFE named Q327473.  Q327473 is SFU 2.3.

DESCRIPTION:  This softpaq provides a patch for SFU 2.3.


Enhancements/Fixes:


1) The command chmod 777 does not set full-control bits for group and 
   everyone. As a result, all Windows users except the owner of the 
   file are not able to edit the file with typical Windows
   applications (such as Notepad and Excel).

2) Read and write access calls do not immediately update the modified 
   or access time on the files.

3) Clients are unable to mount a share with a slash (/) in the share 
   name.

4) The KeepInheritance option does not work for files with one-
   character names.

5) Server for NFS must be restarted to make the addition of a newly 
   created client group take effect.

6) Sometimes, on a restart, the cluster service writes an event log
   that says that the cluster database is corrupt. 



HOW TO USE:


Stand-alone Install Directions:

1. Create a directory on the client. Download the SoftPaq to that directory.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename 
based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
Press "SpaceBar" to confirm the unpacking of files into the download directory. 
A directory named after the softpaq will be created containing the files.

3. After the files have been unpacked, you may delete the self-extracting file 
downloaded in step 1.

4. To load the patch to the server, navigate to c:\sp25738.  Run the file q330032_sfu_2_x86_en.exe by 
double-clicking it.  Follow the on-screen instructions.  A reboot is required.

5. After the installation is completed, you may delete the files unpacked in step 2.

Cluster Install Directions:

1. Migrate all NFS resources to one node of the cluster.

2. Run the file Q330032_SFU_2_X86_EN.exe found at c:\sp25738 on the node from which the resources were moved.

3. Restart the cluster node after the installation completes.

4. Migrate all NFS resources to the node of the cluster that was just upgraded.

5. Run the file Q330032_SFU_2_X86_EN.exe found at c:\sp25738 on the node that has not yet been upgraded.
	
6. Restart the cluster node after the installation completes.
