 - This package is ONLY for the HP RedHat 7.3 preinstall image running kernel 2.4.18-26.7.x.  

 NOTE: This package will NOT work for any other kernel version. To obtain an update for any 
       other Linux image other than the HP preinstall, please visit the Adaptec website. 

HOW TO USE:
 
1. Download and unpack the TAR archive, this will unpack to a aic79xx_1_3_10 directory. 

2. Install the binary rpm, aic79xx-1.3.10-4.i386.rpm using the RedHat Package Manger.  
   To do this, with root privilages type at a console prompt: 
   'rpm -i aic79xx-1.3.10-4.i386.rpm'

3. Verify /etc/modules.conf is updated with scsi_hostadapter aliases referencing the 
   aic79xx_1_3_10 driver module. 

4. Reboot your machine to begin using the updated driver.
