HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a folder on your hard drive and change
   to that folder. The file that is downloaded is an executable
   with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file and
   follow the on-screen instructions to expand the SoftPaq.

3. The installation of the Configuration Utility will start automatically.

For Driver Upgrade, continue with steps 4 through 9 (for new install skip to section below):

4. To upgrade from a previous driver, cancel out of the program that starts automatically
   in step 3 above.

5. From Device Manager, right click on the Compaq 11Mbp Wireless USB Adapter, 
   choose Properties, then choose Upgrade driver.

6. When the Hardware Wizard appears, guide it to the folder that the SoftPaq was 
   expanded into.

7. The Wizard should be able to detect the .inf file and updated driver.

8. Follow the onscreen instructions to update the driver.

9. If a "Digital Signature" warning message is displayed when installing the driver, 
   click on "Continue Anyway" to install the driver.

New Install:

4. After the configuration utility installs, insert your hardware and guide the 
   Hardware Wizard to the folder where the Softpaq was expanded to.

5. If a "Digital Signature" warning message is displayed when installing the driver, 
   click on "Continue Anyway" to install the driver.          

NOTES:

 - After a successful installation you may delete the SoftPaq file and
   expanded files downloaded in step 1 above.

 - For more information on the installation of the Compaq USB Wireless Adapter, please 
   consult the User's Guide that came with your hardware.
