DESCRIPTION:  This is the driver for the US Robotics Gaming Modem
models listed above running Windows 2000 Operating System. 


HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
   The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename 
   based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. 

3. The Softpaq will prompt the user to install the files to directory C:\CPQDRV\MODEM.   
   The user may specify a different directory if desired. Close the Winzip
   application after the files have been installed.

4. To install the modem, launch the "New Hardware Wizard".  Go to Add/Remove Hardware.  
   Click "Start" Click "Settings" Click "Control Panel"

5. Click the "Next" Button.

6. Choose "Add/Troubleshoot device".  Click "Next".

7. A "Found New Hardware (Serial Port Device)" Message will appear.  
   Click the "Search for Suitable Drivers for my device (Recommended)" Button.

8. Click the "Next" Button.

9. Click "Browse" and select the directory "C:\CPQDRV\MODEM" or the directory 
   specified in step 3. 

10. Click "Open" then Click "OK".

11. Click "Finish". Click "Next". Click "Finish".
