DESCRIPTION:  Western Digital had a recall of hard drives manufactured between 
late August and October.  Run this utility on any of the possibly affected 
Presario models above.  The utility identifies the hard drive model numbers and 
serial numbers, compares them to the recall list of Western Digital drives that 
were supplied to Compaq, and reports whether or not it finds a recalled hard drive.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.

2. Execute the downloaded file and it will query the hard
drives to see if they are on the Western Digital recall list.

3. Read the results of the query.  If it reads,
"Your Hard Drive is Fine", no further action is necessary.

4. If it reads, "POSSIBLE FAULTY DRIVE DETECTED" then
make note of the information displayed and call Customer Service
to see what further action is required.
