DESCRIPTION:  

This SoftPaq contains Firmware and BIOS for the HP 8 Internal Port SAS HBA with RAID.

Enhancements/Fixes:
	- Added support for LSI expander on ML570 G4
	- Added support for identifying S.M.A.R.T error on hard drives
	- Fixed an intermittent issue of event 11 being logged into Windows event viewer
	- Fixed an issue where drive status LED is being left on even after deleting the volume.


HOW TO USE:

If you are using diskettes to perform the upgrade:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.

2. Obtain two diskettes.

3. Execute the downloaded file to extract its contents to one of the diskettes.

4. Use the 2nd diskette to create a DOS-bootable diskette.

5. Boot the ProLiant server with the HP 8 internal Port SAS HBA with RAID using the DOS bootable diskette created in step 4.

6. Once the server has booted, insert the diskette created in step 3 above.

7. At the command prompt, change to the diskette drive and execute 
	"update p"

   Upon completion of flashing, the following message will be displayed:
	PLEASE REBOOT YOUR SYSTEM. PROGRAMMING COMPLETE!!

8. Remove all diskettes and reboot the server.

9. For additional instructions, refer to "Update.txt" in the diskette.


If you are using a DOS-bootable USB key to perform the upgrade:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.

2. Obtain a DOS-bootable USB key.

3. Execute the downloaded file to extract its contents to the DOS-bootable USB key.

4. Boot the ProLiant server with the HP 8 internal Port SAS HBA with RAID using the DOS-bootable USB key.

5. Once the server has booted and displays the command prompt, change to the USB key and execute
	"update p"

   Upon completion of flashing, the following message will be displayed:
	PLEASE REBOOT YOUR SYSTEM. PROGRAMMING COMPLETE!!

6. Remove all diskettes/USB keys and reboot the server.

7. For additional instructions, refer to "Update.txt" in the diskette.
