       This DigiWARE software package includes device drivers for EPC/X,
       C/X and Xem and PC/Xr product families.

       Enhancements:

            The driver now provides PCI support for Digi's  EPC/X,  C/X,
            Xem, and PC/Xr adapters.

            The  driver  now allows users of 232/422 switchable cards to
            select the appropriate setting for a given port at the  com-
            mand line using the ditty "eia232" and "eia422" options.

       Bug Fixes:

            The printer option, which never was implemented in the Digi-
            tal UNIX driver, has been removed from ditty.

            The sxfep firmware binary has been updated to fix a  problem
            in  which  DPA would report the incorrect flow control state
            under certain conditions for the PC/Xr and Xem adapters.

            The  software  manual  has  been  updated  to  include   DPA
            keystroke  equivalents for those cases in which the terminal
            devices do not support function keys.

            DPA used to embolden IFC when OFC went high despite IFC  ac-
            tually being off... this cosmetic fix was made to DPA.

       Known Limitations:

            This  version of the Digital UNIX 4.0 driver does  nnoott  cur-
            rently support the boot-linked kernel option of this operat-
            ing system.
