THE WELL: New Level for Quake Registered

Your quest to secure the Slipgates and rid the planet of the evil
curse that comes with them continues.  This time, you get a report
about a small outpost in the middle of a barren desert cavern.

"The outpost doesn't have much strategic purpose, but inside it is
a small well.  No doubt it is the sole source of water in the whole
area.  However, the fact that it has been frequented by those damned
minions of Shub-Niggurath makes the place ripe for investigation.  Some
say the well holds a secret.  Perhaps the outpost guards another
Slipgate that must be cleared out.  Investigate."

After a few days journey, you enter the canyon.  Hmmm... the outpost
looks pretty weak.  Looks very small, too.  Could there possibly be
anything more here?  No matter, you must investigate.  You grip your
rifle, and enter the clearing.  Hmmm, the guards probably won't be
inclined to let you pass peacefully.
