*************************************************************************** Mar 14 2000 This Level is Designed for MegaTF & TeamFortress servers *************************************************************************** Title : Voter Filename : voter.bsp BSPFileSize : 102,152k uncompressed Author : DyerMaker Email Address : DyerMaker@uswestmail.net Description (more below): Voter - a fast downloading, 10-door voting map Additional Map Info : http://www.backblast.com/dyermaker TeamFortress Info : http://www.teamfortress.com Mega_TF Info : http://www.backblast.com Other Maps by DyerMaker : Unholy Kingdoms, Frontline, Ice Land, Sandball & more at http://www.backblast.com/dyermaker *************************************************************************** Play info: Single Player : To look around Coop : No Deathmatch : No Mega-TF : Yes Team Fortress : Yes Difficulty Settings : No New sound/music/graphics: Of course not, I wanted a small filesize :} Base : New level from scratch Tools used : WorldCraft Registered 1.5b HandBuild Time : 7 hours Compile times : under 1 sec: QBSP, VIS, iklite : on Pentium III 450MHz 96 RAM Known Bugs : None, Server Admins read NOTE below *************************************************************************** Why Another Vote Map : Vote Maps should be small enough for the player to download *AND* still help vote in the next level. This is why I built Voter. Even my six-door Votemap1 wasn't getting downloaded fast enough AND players complained of the time it took to open a door when alone on the server. My goal with Voter was 100k filesize for fast downloading and the doors (3000 health) take 1.5 min to open - plenty of time for players to get the map and not a terribly long wait to open a door. Playinfo : This map is the only map ran on the server. Up to ten maps may be triggered from Voter. Players can decide which door to shoot at and when they exit Voter, the map they chose loads. Voter is unique in design as it sports two hall- ways with 5 doors each. The Blue side allows for players to vote for Regular maps, and the Red side allows players to vote for Training Maps. (I've been on a Training Map kick lately!) NOTE: Server Admins : Put voter.bsp in your fortress\maps folder. In your QWMCYLE folder, your map1.cfg should be: map voter In your QWMCYLE folder, your map2.cfg should be: timelimit 35 <--set as you wish, if at all serverinfo n 0 In your SERVER.CFG, do not set samelevel 2. (On our server we have set samelevel 0) I am including Voter's .ENT file for easy tweakage of maps that Voter calls. Be sure to change the maps in BOTH places: On the door and in the trigger_changelevel. *************************************************************************** Legal : (c) 2000 DyerMaker ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
