fnc -- file name changer
utility for renaming files. fnc is a quick and easy way for renaming files. i often use it for keeping order in ie favourites or renaming large groups of images a.s.o. anyway consider that renaming system and program files can lead to pc malfunctioning and/or crash, and that fnc will do little or no chek on what you're renaming. so if you use it, use it taking care.	utilità per rinominare file. fnc consente di cambiare nome a file in modo semplice e veloce. lo uso spesso per mettere ordine nei favoriti di ie o per rinominare gruppi di immagini ecc. tenete però presente che rinominare file di sistema e di programmi può portare a malfunzionamenti e al blocco del pc, e che fnc non farà quasi nessun controllo su ciò che state facendo. quindi se usate fnc, usatelo con cautela.

unzip / copy fnc.exe somewhere onto your hard disk.	scompattare / copiare fnc.exe in una cartella qualsiasi.
uninstalling	disinstallazione
simply delete fnc.exe from the folder where you stored it	è sufficiente eliminare fnc.exe dalla cartella in è stato messo.
use	uso
on your left you can change drive / folder. in the central pane you'd get the list of the files contained in the current folder. check the "show shr" checkbox for showing system, hidden and read-only files. there's two ways for changing filenames: multiple rename -- change all filenames in current folder single rename -- change filenames editing them one by one	cambiando disco / cartella con i controlli sulla sinistra, si dovrebbero ottenere nella lista centrale i file della cartella corrente. spuntate "show shr" per mostrare i file di sistema, nascosti e di sola lettura. i file possono essere rinominati in due modi multiple rename -- cambia tutti i nomi della cartella corrente single rename -- consente di rinominare i file uno per uno
multiple rename
you can subtract or add first letters of filenames, or you can utterly change filenames. in any case file extensions should be preserved. note -- you cant use multiple renaming for files in windows and windows\system folders. subtract -- type the letters you want to subtract to the first part of filenames, then press "go!". filenames who had those letters should lose them subtract -- type the letters you want to add to the first part of filenames, then press "go!". all files should add those letters to their name change -- type the letters all files should have, set the number of digits for the number sequence, then press "go!". for instance, if you type "aaa" and set digits to 3, you'd have aaa001, aaa002, aaa003. if digits were set to 2, you'd get aaa01, aaa02, aaa03. if while renaming fnc finds an already existing filename, it'd add "(1)" a.s.o.	si possono sottrarre o aggiungere lettere iniziali ai nomi di file, o li si può cambiare completamente. in ogni caso le estensioni dei file dovrebbero essere mantenute. nota -- non si può usare il multiple rename nelle cartella di windows né in quella di sistema di windows. subtract -- battete le lettere che volete sottrarre dalla parte iniziale dei nomi, quindi premete "go!". i nomi che avevano quelle lettere dovrebbero perderle subtract -- battete le lettere che volete premettere ai nomi, quindi premete "go!". tutti i file dovrebbero aggiungere tali lettere al loro nome. change -- battete le lettere che tutti i file volete abbiano, regolate il numero di cifre per la sequenza, quindi premete "go!". p.e., se immettete "aaa" e fissate le cifre a 3, dovreste ottenere aaa001, aaa002, aaa003. se avete fissato le cifre a 2, aaa01, aaa02, aaa03. se mentre rinomina trova un nome già esistente, fnc dovrebbe aggiungere "(1)" ecc.
single rename
by selecting a file in the list you'll get its name in the textbox on the right. you can edit it more quickly and easily than in windows explorer. you can see what you're getting in the "new full name" box. after changing the name press the "rename" button. note: if you're getting an already existing filename, a red "warn" label will appear and pressing rename will get no results. options: uncheck "confirm" to speed renaming check "view content" to show the first part of the file content in the lower textbox. this is only useful for text files, not binaries, but i found it quite useful while renaming ie favourites. if "chek extension" is checked, fnc will add the old extension even if you change or delete it in the new filename	selezionando un file nella lista, il suo nome potrà essere modificato nella casella a destra, più agevolmente che in gestione risorse. il risultato sarà visibile nella casella "new full name". dopo avre cambiato il nome si deve premere il pulsante "rename". nb: se state ottenendo un nome di file già esistente, apparirà un "warn" in rosso, e premere "rename" non sortirà effetti. opzioni: disattivate "confirm" per sveltire spuntate "view content" per mostrare nella casella in basso a destra la parte iniziale del contenuto del file selezionato. quest'opzione è utile solo per i file di testo, ma l'ho trovata pratica p.e. nel rinominare i preferiti di ie. se "chek extension" è spuntata, fnc aggiungerà la vecchia estensione anche se nel nuovo nome la modificate o eliminate

refresh -- refresh the file list (e.g. if another program modified it) delete -- for deleting the currently selected file window -- for getting a larger windows to show more folders / files. the same command will restore the window to its original size about -- info about fnc exit -- quit fnc	refresh -- aggiorna l'elenco dei file (p.e. se è stato alterato da un altro programma) delete -- elimina il file selezionato window -- ingrandisce la finestra per mostrare più cartelle e file. lo stesso pulsante serve a ripristinare la finestra about -- informazioni su fnc exit -- chiude fnc
