Welcome to Peter's Place
FSDEXT2 : Second extended file system for Windows 95
My current hobby project is a port of the second extended file system (ext2fs) to Windows 95; albeit a read-only version.
Using FSDEXT2 you can transparrently mount your Linux ext2fs partitions on Windows 95. Beta testers are invited to give it a try.
- Current is version is 0.16, see the history first
- The binaries is all you need to get going (unzip with -d)
- Source is available as well (after unzip -d, read src.txt first)
- fsdext2 is in no way copyrighted. You may use both source and binaries as you see fit.
Up to version 0.12, FSDEXT2 is known not to work on Windows 95 OSR2 (the version with FAT32 support). Version 0.13 contains a work around for this; one beta tester reported it worked. Please let me know if fsdext2 did or did not worked on your OSR2 machine!
Please note that you cannot hold me responsible for any possible damage FSDEXT2 might cause to your computer. I have not heard of such problems, but you never know with these low level piecies of software. Don't say I haven't warned you :-)
