Introduction top
Thank you for downloading Jony's JPEG Viewer and/or Jony’s Media Player. JJV and JMP are easy to use Multimedia and Image Viewers for Windows 95/98/2000/NT with a customisable interface. JJV is currently Send-Money-If-You-Wish-Freeware - SMIYWFW, so if you want to register you can, but if you don't, then you don't have to, but if you want to support the development of JJV, then we recommend you register. JJV is capable of viewing:

· Windows Bitmap (.bmp)

· CompuServe Bitmap, Animated and Static (.gif)

· Joint Picture Expert Group Images (.jpeg, .jpg)

· Tagged Information File (.tif)

· Windows Metafile (.wmf)

· Enhanced Windows Metafile (.emf)

JMP is capable of playing:

· Microsoft Video for Windows(.avi)

· Motion Pictures Expert Group Video and Audio Layers 1,2 & 3 (.mpeg, .mpg, .mp2, .mp3, etc..)

· Windows Audio Files (.au, .wav, .aif, .aiff, .snd)

Installation & Uninstallation top

Installing the programs
Unzip into any folder (with the folders option on), and that’s it :).

If the windows registry is deleted or damaged (which often requires a reinstallation of windows), then JJV, and JMP will recreate the files and registry keys that it requires to run next time it starts up, which means you don't have to manually reinstall the application (like many others). If you wish to move JJV its a matter of just moving all of the files, but I do not highly recommend this. If you changed the skins, and they were in a subdirectory then you may have to reconfigure JJV to recognise those skins, otherwise if they were in another directory (like the windows directory) then it should still be fine ;).

Installing the plugins
Simply extract all of the files in the archive into the directory that Jony's JPEG Viewer or Jony's Media Player are installed. The programs will recognise the plugins on startup.

Uninstalling
Run JJV and/or JMP with the parameters "delete" (i.e: jjv delete) and afterwards delete all files in the directory you installed JJV in.

How to use top
JJV or JMP don't require you to be a certified rocket scientist to use. If you have any doubts about what a button does, then hold your mouse over it, and a hint will appear in the status bar at the bottom of the screen, or if that doesn't help, consult the help file included.
