=========================================================================== Advanced engine needed : MBF21, UMAPINFO Primary purpose : Single play =========================================================================== Title : Sleepwalking Filename : sleepwalking.wad Release date : 30.09.2024 Author : Ravendesk Email Address : [redacted] Description : Sleepwalking is a snowy adventure across 3 MBF21 maps that exists because I made a few midis and wanted to make maps to accompany them. Wad was tested with dsda-doom 0.28.1 (-complevel 21) and GZDoom 4.8.2 (default compatibility). However, wad uses a few tricks that don't work as expected in gzdoom (secret transfers and some visual tricks), so playing in dsda is preferable. Map & music list: Map 01 - It's noisy outside Midi - "Cat vs February" Map 02 - Here come the whales Midi - "Pinocchio Dance" Map 03 - Unlearn to breathe Midi - "Prickly Seadevils" Map 04 (credits map) - Awake Midi - "Trapped in a Fake House" Intermission screen midi - "Floe" Title screen and text screen midi - same as map 04 Credits: Textures: 32in24-15_tex_v2 and otex_1_1 texture packs, wood texture pack by NiGHTMARE and Makkon textures. Also Petya for Status bar and M_DOOM Peccatum Mihzamiz for ENDOOM Napsalm and Xyzzy for answering my decohack and dehacked questions. LPad for musical advice and being a huge inspiration. Everyone who played RC versions of the wad and shared feedback/demos/videos/streams. Notes about dehacked weapon changes: You should be able to figure out most of the changes yourself as they are very intuitive, the only thing I want to note is how flak cannon works. The flak cannon fires ripping projectiles that deal damage whenever they are inside of the enemy hitbox. As a result, enemies with larger hitbox receive more damage than those with a smaller hitbox, so flak cannon is especially strong against mancubi, arachnotrons and cybers as well as against crowds of enemies as firing through the crowd will damage multiple enemies.
