Misc. Author Info : I enjoy customizing the vanilla engine and
pushing it as far as it can go.

Description : CopperPal is a drop-in replacement for the stock
Doom palette. It should be compatible with all
WADs that do not change the palette significantly
			  (e.g. Ancient Aliens, BTSX, etc).

			  The goals of CopperPal are:

			  1. Increase contrast slightly, such that darker
areas look better and more color-accurate. It
also just makes the colors "pop" a bit more.

			  2. Modify colors to blend together better such
that the COLORMAP is more visually harmonious.

The biggest example of the problem (2) aims to
solve are the reds (and pinks) in Doom's stock
palette -- the darkest red is only about 25%
brightness, and as such, becomes brown in the
dark, which is very noticeable. Most palette
			  mods simply extend the red ranges to be darker;
this does the job, but the contrast is quite
harsh on IWAD assets, and, in my opinion,
doesn't look too good. It also doesn't solve
the same issue that the oranges have.

CopperPal solves this by embracing the Doom
palette's strength: brown. The reds are gradually
hue shifted towards a slight orange, and
desaturated very slightly. The browns themselves
are saturated and red-shifted a bit. This results
in a much more pleasant color blend that looks a
lot nicer and less abrupt than Doom's stock
COLORMAP. The orange-shifting of dark reds also
consequentially benefits the oranges as well.

Additional Credits to : esselfortium, for sharing information on how to
construct the 32in24/BTSX radsuit palette from
			  scratch.

			  discord server for the name.
