First of all, welcome to the first fully polished multiplayer level for Blood 2 that comes with a history, and requirements :) I know I know, this may seem a little bit over the top, but one thing both myself and Headhunter believe in is creating a good atmosphere and polishing the buggery out of what we do. We did it for Blood 1 and Blood 2 deserves no less. Anyway, when I put Gargon together, one thing I wanted was speed. To give you that, I've used fog to create a lot of the lighting in Gargon. What this, and a lack of lightmapping (plus a few other things) gives Gargon, is a lightning fast speed on minimum spec machines. Gargon is designed for speed. The other thing about Gargon is that it originally started out as a test. If you see something about the level you don't like, get used to it. It was a level to test open areas (and teach me about Dedit) but soon grew into a fun multiplayer map. It's only been processed with approximation because Lithtech seems to get stuck half way through processing. As far as we can tell, this is because of: a) Dedit not liking big areas. b) Dedit just being wierd :) (most likely the case) Still, we are 99% sure that because of the way the level is made, any further processing would be pointless. In other words, the level is great, but still in the vein of a test. Fun to play on, but not 110% Dedit friendly :) Hope you enjoy. |
