Artstate in association with Arkanix Labs presents: * Paula Doing SID * originally released at FornData 2022. This version has been patched by Galahad of Scoopex (15.08.2023), and now runs on both Kickstart 1.x and 2.0+ systems! This has made myself (Motion) and no doubt other Amigans, very happy! I've changed the copper fade in the above logo to differentiate this release from the original and updated the scrolltext. Before I forget, there's a hidden part and it's very easy to find. This is an expanded Amiga version of the C64 music collection entitled, SID Doing Paula, only now the concept has been reversed. No need for the credits, as they're right above this scroller, so let's get straight into the text. After having posted some images pertaining to the Amiga's Kickstart Boot screen on Twitter (I'm no longer on there in a demoscene capacity), I went on to confuse my followers with an imaginary 5.25 Floppy Diskette Kickstart. That image was drawn by aNdy for his C64 music collection. A few hours after posting, I suggested to aNdy that I could make a conversion of sorts. Initially, I went for a straight visual translation, but then opted for what you see here. Anyway, I'll hand over the keys to aNdy now, as he wants to say a few things. aNdy/AL/Cosine on the keys... I just want to say a *huge* thanks to Motion for taking the time to convert my little SID music cover collection back to the Amiga. What a fantastic idea! Although some of these tunes are around 8 years old now, I'd like to retroactively dedicate them to my C64 coding mentor, T.M.R of Cosine, who sadly died last year. Rest in peace friend... If it's OK with Motion, I'd like to shout some quick greets out to Moloch/TRIAD, Warlock, w0rm & Redback of Arkanix Labs, Fuzz/Retro64 and Odie/Cosine. aNdy signing out..... Motion is back and I too want to send a few greets to the following: 4pLaY/Resistance, ADKD/Artstate (Great working with you!), Adam, Asle, AmigaBill, Bifat/The Electronic Knights (Thanks for mailing me a disk of your latest demo!), Conrad (You'll be missed my friend), Galahad, Photon and Stingray/Scoopex, The Welder, Phantasm/Quartex, Grip/Istari, CityXen, Judge Drokk (Great Zzap! Amiga articles, Mark), Kodiak, Elkmoose, Intric8 (Thanks for testing the slideshow), Jok/Dreamweb, Algorithm/Algotech, Andy/Hewco, Snabel/Camelot (You're my kind of crazy!), ne7/Triad, h0ffman/Logicoma, Devistator, Syphus/Up Rough, V!M, SIDwave, Sir Lucas, Conjuror/Offence, T.M.R./Cosine (RIP), Proton & Rock/Finnish Gold, cTrix, Raizor, Rich and Synesthesia of Defekt, Bossman/Rift and Zeg. All that remains to be said, is that we'll be back on your screens in the very near future, as we're finalising a few projects that have been sitting idle for far too long (just like this one!). Thanks to ADKD for giving me the motivation to complete this release. Thanks Pal! Time for me to assemble and crunch files and build the release disk for ADKD to upload to the party system. Motion signing off..... Cya!
