STAR WARS QUAKE - Model Pack
=============================================

Continued interest in Quake 2 editing has
prompted me to assemble this pack for those
looking to continue with a Q2 mod who might
also happen to need content. The conditions
of use and distribution are described below:

USE AND DISTRIBUTION:
Models created by myself, Privateer, can be redistributed separately and chopped
up for parts so long as I am credited as the original creator and recieve
notification (privater2@yahoo.com). Those models not created by myself should be
respected and distributed fully intact and with credit to the respective author
(or SWQ modelers if not specified). None of the completed skins can be used
without crediting the original authors, most are Brad's however many are too old
for me to retrace so please credit SWQ 2D Artists if nothing else. These models
can be used for preliminary purposes if someone is in the process of creating
their own models, or by anyone wishing to continue refining the SWQ code or begin
a derivative project so long as we are notified (RipVTide, Fu, or myself). Any
non-Star-Wars mods still looking to use these models should feel free to do so,
if they are willing to clearly credit original creators. Completely new, original
skins for these models can be redistributed without notice. If you would like to
see your contributions added to the official model pack, e-mail myself at
privater2@yahoo.com or another 'active' member of the SWQ team (such as RipVTide
FuShanks, Apocx, etc). Of course none of these models can be distributed in a
commercial form of any kind.

USING THE PACK WITH SWQ DM RELEASE:
Yep, nothing stopping you from installing this pack over the DM release. It will
add only player models and a few duplicate files (some files were renamed from
default). Reguardless, might be nice to see all the creamy good content, even
without any sort of demo level =/ Sorry guys, no time. There are plenty of md2
viewers though in case you'd like to see the bystanders throwing a few back at
the bar, just don't forget to import the head as well =D
Alright, enough with the faces, enjoy!

DEVELOPERS LOOKING TO CONTINUE SWQ or DERIVATIVE PROJECTS:
To ensure you get all our content download all the packs (md2, wav, txt, and
sdk) as well as the original DM release.
1) Install DM release into an new directory (like SWQ_SDK) and unpack the pak0
2) Extract the md2, wav, txt, and sdk packs into this new directory in any order
*Overwrite anything originally extracted from the pak0.pak
*SDK pack is large because it includes all the textures, maps, and code source
*Due to the number of level designers who have come and gone there may be
compiled maps (.bsp) with no accompanying .map or .qrk files, it is rare in fact
to find any source files for our incomplete maps; part of the reason we never
completed this project =/
*If you have quality maps you'd like to see included in the pack, or an official
SWQ level pack then e-mail and active member of the team with a link to where we
can download your map -- no attachments please.

OTHER NOTES:
Don't forget we've released the code if you're looking for a place to start,
  http://swtc.telefragged.com/RipVTide/source.zip
  OR download the SDK
Some models have been relocated or renamed to avoid confusion, these changes
are NOT accounted for in the code so be careful (model text files note change)
Because many of the models were never properly play-tested some skins may not be
properly linked. This can be corrected by openning a model in Q2 Modeler and
exporting to md2 then selecting the proper skin (assuming the proper root
directory is set). Skin links may not properly appear in some editors, it may
be the viewer and not the file. I recommend Q2 Modeler 0.90b or Qme preview 1
for testing skin links, or loading the model in-game. All models have been
tested in Q2 Modeler 0.9b, the most accurate program I've found, in-game
  results would be appreciated.
You are free to change the skin links of models to add skins
or change skin names or directory structures.
Certain models were left out because they were incomplete or of an exceptionally
  poor quality... [/me glances about]
Inside each model directory you should find a text file describing who made the
model (if it wasn't created by myself) and or instructions on its intended
use. Also it should mention if the model has been moved from its original
  directory position.
There are sounds to accompany certain player models and things, the SWQ sound
pack is available on the SWQ website.
Later releases may be pak'ed

Here all the models I (Priv) made, so there is no confusion
